Prima etapa a Cupei de Natiuni in 2011

        Prima etapa din acest an a celebrului concurs pe echipe la sarituri peste obstacole, Cupa de Natiuni (FEI Nations Cup TM), a avut loc in Franta, la La Baule, in zilele de 13-15 mai.

Au fost zile frumoase, pline de suspans, terminate cu multe surprize.

       Cea mai importanta proba, Cupa de Natiuni, a insemnat nu numai doua abandonuri si doua eliminari, chiar ale unor calareti celebri (Kevin Staut, campion european, de exemplu!), dar si o lupta stransa pana la ultimul minut pentru  ocuparea locului I – acesta revenindu-i, poate chiar surprinzator, echipei Irlandei. Locul II a fost ocupat de echipa Belgiei, urmata de a Germaniei. Pe locurile IV si V au venit echipele Marii Britanii si, respectiv, ale Statelor Unite.

        O alta proba extrem de importanta si urmarita a fost Marele Premiu al Frantei La Baule (Grand Prix Longines La Baule), castigat de campionul mondial, canadianul Eric Lamaze cu al sau Hickstead, urmat de frantuzoaica Penelope Leprevost, cu Mylord Carthago si germanul Carsten Otto Nagel, cu iapa Corradina.

       Desi FEI Nations Cup si-a pierdut sponsorul oficial in acest an, Meydan (acesta orientandu-se spre echiatia de anduranta), FEI a anuntat ca va pastra si anul acesta acelasi nivel de premii acordate sportivilor si organizatorilor.

Urmatoarele etape ale turneului FEI Cupa de Natiuni, sunt: la Roma (Italia) – in 27.05.2011; St.Gallen (Elvetia) – in 03.06.2011; Falsterbo ( Suedia) – in 08.07.2011; Aachen (Germania) – in 14.07.2011; Hickstead (Marea Britanie) – in 29.07.2011, urmat de Dublin (Irlanda), in 05.08.2011; ultima locatie a Cupei de Natiuni va fi in Rotterdam (Olanda), in 26.08.2011.      The first FEI Nations Cup on 2011 took place last week, in 13-15 May, in La Baule – France and it has been marked with a very tough fight for the first place, after many surprises, such as eliminations and withdrawals . 

Eventually, the Irish team finished on top, followed by the Belgian tand German team. On the 4th and 5th places came the Britrish team and USA team.

       In the same tournament the Grand Prix Longines of La Baule has been won by the world champion, the canadian Eric Lamaze, with Hickstead, followed on the second position by the french lady Penelope Leprevost, with Mylord Carthago and on the third place, the german rider Carsten Otto Nagel, with Corradina.

 The next FEI Nations Cup competition will take place in Rome (Italy), on the 27th May 2011.
